rrt-ruby is a library for the Ruby language that allows access to Rose RealTime models.
It uses the RRTEI (the Rose RealTime Extensibility Interface) over OLE Automation. As such, it works only on Windows platforms with a valid RoseRT license.
Where do I get it?
The current release is version 0.3.1. You can get the gem here
This release improves the code in the writer module and allows you to write complete logical views.
Error checking in RRTFinder is also "finer", while a 'blank' Finder (with no specified model) can now be instantiated without exceptions.
You can also browse the CVS sources online.
You can browse the API documentation here. Please note that the API docu online is generated from the CVS sources and might differ from the documentation of the latest release (this is just riva being lazy with versioning).
If you haven't heard of Rose RealTime, don't worry. Let me just point out that it bares small relation to Rational Rose, other than sharing vendor and half of the name.
It's actually called IBM Rational Rose Technical Developer at the moment, but old habits are hard to break.
I'll also point out that if you don't know anything about it, this site is probably not for you.
Thank you for visiting!
